Rotarian Foundation of Livermore (RFL) grants support the vision and mission of the Foundation.
- Vision: The quality of life of Livermore Valley residents is sustainably improved by the philanthropy of the Rotarian Foundation of Livermore.
- Mission: The Rotarian Foundation of Livermore awards grants to Livermore Valley charitable organizations, underwrites Rotary projects, and provides financial support that benefit the diverse residents of the Livermore Valley.
Funding Information
Community Grants may be awarded for up to $10,000, depending on the project.
The application provides an opportunity to demonstrate that the project to be funded shows a commitment to improve the quality of life of Livermore Valley residents.
In the project description, applicants should include responses to the following prompts:
- What important specific need is identified and how will the grant meet this need?
- How will the grant provide for an enduring and extensive community benefit?
- How does the project and its beneficiaries show inclusivity and respect the diversity of our community?
- To what extent does the proposed project benefit youth, seniors, or disadvantaged members of the Livermore Valley?
Beneficiary Responsibilities
- Beneficiaries are asked to represent their organization by attending the Awards Presentation Rotary Club meeting, at which they will be able to speak briefly about their project.
- Beneficiaries will be expected to support fundraising activities of the Foundation. This support may include attendance at events, providing volunteers at events, promoting events, and donating items such as auction items or in-kind support of events
- The Foundation requires a Grant Anniversary Report from the responsible person that is to be received at the 12-month anniversary of the grant receipt. This report should describe the disbursement of the grant funds and the accomplishments of the funded project. In addition, for organizations awarded grants over $5,000, the Foundation asks that the organization present the report to the Board in person during a meeting/event at a date to be determined by the Foundation Board.
- The Foundation expects that the grant will be used for the application’s stated purpose and within 12 months from the grant award; if not, the Foundation reserves the right to demand return of the grant.
