Staunton Farm Foundation recognizes the importance of building capacity to maintain optimal services and long-term sustainability of mental health and substance use programs. Successful capacity-building activity in non-profit organizations strengthens the ability to deliver on the mission. Capacity building also empowers organizations to be innovative in developing and enhancing resources and programs. The goal is to broaden the positive impact for the individuals and communities served.
Funding Information
Maximum of $25,000 per request.
Grant Period
Funding will be awarded in July 2025, and is expected to be fully expended by July 2026.
Uses of Funds
Grants may be used to contract for technical assistance in training or programming, program evaluation, strategic planning, physical and behavioral health integration, data collection programs/software, electronic health record implementation or upgrades, and other expenses necessary to achieve the proposal’s goals. The Staunton Farm Foundation will outline the specific terms of grants with successful grantees.
Examples
The Foundation welcomes your ideas and provides these only as examples of projects that might meet the intent of this Capacity Building grant program:
- Supporting collaborations, shared services, and mergers
- Preparing and submitting applications for accreditation
- Exploring alternate funding opportunities or leveraging resources
- Implementing (or upgrading) electronic health records
- Technical assistance for integrating behavioral health and physical health
- Training providers and or team members on evaluation methods.
Eligibility Criteria
Non-profit organizations, governments, and faith-based organizations in the following counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, and Westmoreland.
