West Chester Township is now accepting applications for its Small Business Revitalization Grant Program, known as Spark Grants. This initiative is designed to support locally owned businesses by funding exterior improvements that enhance business visibility and improve the overall appearance of key commercial corridors.
The grant encourages projects such as aesthetic upgrades, creation of outdoor gathering spaces, hardscaping like patios and retaining walls, exterior painting and lighting, new or improved signage, awnings, and landscaping enhancements.
Grants are awarded as reimbursements ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. Approved projects must be completed within six months.
Eligible businesses must be locally owned and located within West Chester Township, with 20 or fewer full-time employees. Applicants can be either the property owner or a tenant, but tenants must have written permission from the property owner. Businesses are eligible for one grant per cycle, and each subsequent grant award will be reduced by 25%, with a maximum of four awards total.
