Priorities
CFSA values community. As a permanent community resource, foundation understand that transformative impact takes time and trust. Foundation promote inclusion and dignity for everyone. All applicants meeting criteria are welcome and will be considered for funding, however, funding priority will be given to the following:
- Organizations located in or conducting charitable work in rural areas.
- Organizations whose charitable work directly impacts historically marginalized communities.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be a 501(c)3 in good standing or apply using a fiscal sponsor.
- Applicant must have an annual operating budget under $100,000.
- If applying with a fiscal sponsor, fiscal sponsor must be 501(c)3 in good standing, located in Southern Arizona.
- Applicant must be based in Southern Arizona foundation welcome applicants from all counties south of the Gila River, including Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, Santa Cruz, Yuma, and some of Pinal County).
- Applicant must have an established board.
- Applicant must be current in all reporting to CFSA.
- Grants are generally not made to individuals, for-profit organizations, government entities, capital fund drives, agency endowments, debt reduction, individual schools, religious organizations for sectarian purposes, pure sports teams.
