The mission of the Health Foundation of Greater Massillon is to enable health status improvement, wellness activities and community well-being by investing in nonprofit organizations that provide services in their communities.
HFGM has been part of Stark Community Foundation’s family of donors since 2016, when the private foundation transitioned to a supporting foundation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants must be a tax-exempt private agency, 501(c)(3) organization (that is recognized as a public charity) or government entity.
- Proposals must directly impact residents living in Western Stark County (Beach City, Bethlehem Township, Brewster, Canal Fulton, East Greenville, Jackson Township, Lawrence Township, Massillon, Navarre, North Lawrence, Perry Township, Richville, Sugarcreek Township, Tuscarawas Township, Wilmot), Northern Tuscarawas County (Bolivar, Strasburg) and/or Eastern Wayne County (Dalton, Orrville, Wooster).
- Proposals must demonstrate well-planned programs and activities that promote physical, emotional and mental health.
- Proposals are not normally approved to support overhead and/or administrative costs not directly associated with the proposed project or program, annual appeals or membership drives, fundraising projects, religious organizations for religious purposes, travel for individuals or groups (if that is the primary focus), endowment funds, individuals or groups or lobbying activities.
