The Horizon Healthy Communities Grant Program is a one-time special grant program in recognition of The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey’s 20th anniversary in 2024. The program is for small, start-up, or newly established nonprofits with a health focus.
The program will award twenty (20) grants for general operating support or to assist organizations as they build their capacity and scale programs.
Funding Information
- Grant awards will be $5,000 for one year.
- The grant period is July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Grant Applicant Qualifications:
- New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a focus on physical or mental health
- Operating budget of $250,000 or less
- Existing Horizon Foundation grant recipients are not eligible
- Audited financial statement is not required to apply
The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey does not fund
Endowments; hospitals or hospital foundations; individuals; political causes, candidates, organizations, and campaigns; one-day events; or fundraising events (e.g. galas, dinners, golf outings, walks, runs, races).
