Programs may include long-term walking group programs, community exercise classes or group activities in existing public spaces aimed to help people be more active. This Targeted Achievement Grant supports new or expanded social support programs in community settings that aim to build, strengthen and sustain social networks that encourage and reinforce positive changes in physical activity behavior. Social support programs aimed to support adults ages 55 and up will receive preference. This funding is not meant to sustain an existing program or replace current funding.
