Types of Grants
KCCF Provides Four Primary Types of Grants:
- Capital Grant – Supports building acquisition, renovation, and construction.
- Collaborative Grant – Requires 1 lead applicant + 2 or more partners, with a shared scope of work and budget.
- Planning Grant – Up to $20,000 for early-stage development; requires at least 2 key stakeholders.
- Standard Grant – Covers all costs associated with a project.

Geographical Areas
KCCF funds organizations serving the deep South Texas Mid-Valley community. This includes the communities of: San Carlos, La Blanca, Donna, Hargill, La Feria, La Sara, Lyford, Mercedes, Progreso, Raymondville, Santa Rosa, Sebastian, and Weslaco, including the Delta area: Edcouch, Elsa, La Villa, Monte Alto, and other rural communities within the Mid-Valley region. Organizations are not required to have a physical location in the Mid-Valley as long as they provide services in these communities.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to receive funding, an organization must be a qualified public entity or an Internal Revenue Service recognized 501(c)(3), 509(a), or Section 170(c)(1) with current Form 990s and in good standing with the IRS and relevant state and local authorities.
