The goal is for these grants to assist libraries with enhancing their print, e-book, and audiobook collections with materials that meet the unique needs of their communities.
Foundation Funds
They fund physical and e-book/audiobook collections enhancement. These items will not be funded: accelerated readers, audio/print hybrids (Vox Books, Wonderbooks) or similar devices, CDs/DVDs, “Computers for Tots”, furniture, carpeting, and office supplies, gaming technology, giveaway books, hardware, Hoopla/Kanopy or similar streaming services that do not exclusively feature books, Initiation of an e-book, audiobook, or e-content subscription (TBF will only fund e-book or audiobook collections if a subscription already exists.), kits, marketing programs, programming materials, software, staff equipment, subscriptions, televisions or CD/DVD Players, and textbooks.
Funding Information
The grant amount is $2,500 per awardee for print or ebook/audiobook collections enhancement.
Eligibility Criteria
Texas Book Festival accepts applications exclusively from Texas public libraries. Academic and school libraries (including elementary, middle, high school, and college libraries), nonprofit, and mutual aid group-based libraries (including little free libraries) are not eligible.
