The Caring Foundation is vital to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama’s mission to give back to the community. They proud to partner with charitable organizations throughout the state to improve the health, community well-being and education of all Alabamians.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for funding an organization must:
- Be located in Alabama and/or serve Alabama communities
- Benefit citizens in Alabama
- Be a 501(c)(3) qualified organization (with either a 509(a)(1) or (2) status
- Organizations may only submit one request per year
- Funding requests must align with The Caring Foundation of Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s mission and core focus areas, which include health, community well-being, and education
- Applications must be submitted at least 60 days before the event date or launch date

- Sports leagues or teams
- Any activity deemed inappropriate by the Foundation
