Established in the 1960s by the Lowe family, the fund has resided at The Denver Foundation since 1994. The mission of the Lowe Fund is to provide grants to nonprofits in Colorado that support training, education, and research into the causes, cures, and treatment of cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities, and other nervous and muscular diseases and disorders.

Grant ranges are between $10,000 – $25,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Your organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3).
- Your organization must be located in or operate in Colorado.
- Your work must connect with the mission of the Lowe Fund.
- Your work must work with individuals with cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities, and other nervous and muscular diseases and disorders, as outlined by the mission statement. (Populations that have a physical disability unrelated to these areas are not eligible for funding.)
- Organizations with budgets of $6 million or more are not eligible for funding, unless they are providing services outside of the seven-county metro Denver area.
- Organizations that provide systems-level advocacy, including legal advocacy, are eligible to apply for funding.
- Organizations in rural areas are encouraged to apply.
- Organizations that provide direct services are eligible to apply.
