Ulster County is inviting applications for its Programmatic Support Grant, aimed at funding arts and cultural projects that actively engage residents, boost tourism, and enrich the county’s vibrant arts community.
This opportunity is open to organizations working in any artistic discipline, including visual, performing, written, digital, traditional, and experimental arts. Funding requests can range from $1,000 to $5,000. All projects supported by this grant must take place between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026.
Eligible activities include arts exhibitions, concerts, live theater, film screenings, readings, cultural festivals, and unique interactive experiences. Priority expenses include artist fees, marketing costs, consumable art supplies, and initiatives to enhance accessibility to arts programming.
Applicants must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits with a primary mission focused on arts or cultural services. Organizations should have a permanent address or be incorporated in Ulster County, possess at least three years of programming history, and have a governing body that meets to set policies.
Non-discrimination policies are required, prohibiting discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Organizations must comply with the Nonprofit Revitalization Act of 2013.
Individuals or unincorporated groups may apply only through a qualified fiscal sponsor that meets the above criteria. Preference is given to fiscal sponsors whose primary mission also involves arts or cultural activities.
