Goals
The goals of the Visit Canton Marketing Co-Op include:
- Maximize the investment of Stark County businesses marketing to leisure travelers, event planners, and other site selectors.
- Present Stark County as a destination and encouraging extended stays and time in market
- Utilize the Visit Canton brand to elevate recognition of Stark County as a destination.
Funding Information
Requests up to $10,000 per organization per cycle will be considered through this competitive application process.
Grant Period
January 1-December 31, 2025.
Project Eligibility
Marketing Campaigns include sales and marketing campaigns that promote Stark County businesses to leisure audiences, event planners, and other site selectors. Support is not guaranteed. This is a competitive application process. Final award determinations are subject to consideration of all applications submitted by the deadline. Co-op funds awarded will equal no more than 50% of each approved expense(s).
- Marketing and advertising expenses submitted for co-op consideration must target at least 40% out-of-county audience.
- Tradeshow Participation/Event Activations – Must implement a lead capture that includes
- Visit Canton in permissions for use
- Booth Registration Expenses
- Attendee Registration Expenses
- All projects must clearly explain and/or demonstrate how Visit Canton branding will be incorporated into the project execution and/or ad creative.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible organizations include, but are not limited to Stark County businesses, museums, attractions, hotels, local planning committees, Chambers of Commerce, local governments, non-profit organizations, and for-profit enterprises. Preference will be given to opportunities with the most potential to generate a significant return on investment for Stark County.
