The White Rose Foundation, Incorporated, is an all-volunteer-powered nonprofit committed to improving the educational, social, and economic welfare of disadvantaged minorities in Metro Denver.
They have partnered with The Denver Foundation to establish The White Rose Foundation Endowment Fund, a permanent endowment fund that is being invested to preserve legacy of giving. The White Rose Foundation is the only African American women’s organization in Colorado that has established a fund with this iconic community foundation. Twice a year, the foundation awards grants to mission-aligned 501 c(3) organizations.

Criteria
The White Rose Foundation awards grants to small 501(c)(3) nonprofits that serve Colorado and have been active for at least five (5) years.
Guidelines
- In the area of education, TWRF is responsive to the task of strengthening education at the primary and secondary school levels, with consideration given to selected higher education initiatives. Services include college scholarships for cross cultural community interaction and philanthropic support of black youth in the State of Colorado.
- In the area of Health and Welfare, activities that promote a healthy heart, women’s wellness, tissue donor awareness, and mental health are given priority.
- The foundation support activities that promote equal opportunity, equity, diversity, advancement, and recognition for the Black community.
- The foundation will continue to support a wide range of worthy activities, including matching challenge funds in collaboration with other educational, civic, or cultural organizations encompassing national and international trends and the arts.
Exclusions
They will not make grants or contributions to:
- Individual research projects, sabbaticals, or fellowships.
- Grants that further political or religious activities.
- Athletic teams or sponsorships.
- Trips, travel, or cultural exchanges.
- Capital campaigns or debt retirement.
- Testimonial dinners.
- Organizations that discriminate based on race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, or religion.
- Only one application per organization is accepted per calendar year.
- Organizations receiving funding for two consecutive calendar years must take one year off before
- re-applying.
- A final report for any previously awarded grant is required before a new request is considered.
- Members of the Denver (CO) Chaper of The Links, Incorporated with a potential conflict of interest defined as a grant or contribution request from an organization that a Denver Links member or family member is a paid staff member of can receive payment for services because of a grant or contribution made from TWRF.
