Grants are made for programs likely to make a clear difference in the quality of life of a substantial number of people. Impact Grants will support:
- Endowment building: Build capacity and sustainability by helping nonprofits leverage additional funds and incorporate endowment fundraising as a regular part of their ongoing development program.
- Capital projects: Bricks and mortar for important projects that will strengthen community.
- Capacity building: Helps to strengthen community organizations through training, education, seminars, etc.
- Community leadership: Proactive opportunity to support community assessments, surveys, special initiatives and leverage other sources of financial support.
- Community betterment: Provide support to initiatives that improve the quality of life.
- Start-up/entrepreneurial: Help new ideas, organizations, and community initiatives get established.
Funding Information
Impact Grants will be for a maximum of $100,000.
Grant Period
For no more than a two-year commitment.
Criteria
When applying for an Impact Grant, the following information will be requested:
- A statement containing the following information:
- Summary of the project or proposal including agency and projects budgets.
- Confirmed and potential sources of support.
- Expected outcomes of the project – who will be better off, and why, at the end of the project.
- If the project will be continued, how will it be supported in the future.
- A copy of the organization’s IRS Federal Tax Exemption determination letter.
- A complete list of the organization’s officers and directors.
