Women United can make awards only for projects, we ask that applicants focus their requests solely on project-based requests that support women, children, and families in Licking County. Women United is working to promote positive social change by empowering women and children through project grants to local non-profits, raising awareness of issues and opportunities facing women and children in Licking County, and by supporting the work of United Way.
Projects are different from programs insofar as programs are usually ongoing and encompass a range of elements that benefit the community, whereas projects will center on a single, specific task or element, will operate within an established timeframe, and will pursue a specific and tangible outcome.
