This renewable scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students whose permanent address is in the Community Foundation’s 11-county service area (Calhoun, Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda, and Sumter). Applicants must be enrolled in a two- or four-year degree undergraduate program in the upcoming Fall semester at an accredited nonprofit university or technical college located in the 11-county service area. Applicants need to be first-generation college students (as defined by the TRIO program) and have financial need. Applicants must demonstrate involvement with the community via volunteerism, community groups, or employment.
