Small businesses located in Beverly that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic are invited to apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. To be eligible, businesses must meet the following criteria:
- Be in the hospitality, tourism, arts, recreation, and retail industries. This includes, but is not limited to: restaurants, fitness centers, personal service providers, entertainment venues, family childcare centers, and retail stores;
- Be located in Beverly, at an address separate from owner’s residence. Family childcare centers are exempt from this requirement;
- Have fewer than 50 full time equivalent employees;
- Be independently owned and operated;
- Established before January 1, 2020;
- Be current on all local taxes and licenses;
- Gross receipts for the year 2020 cannot have exceeded $2 million.
Eligibility Criteria
Non-profits are NOT eligible. Businesses are eligible if they meet the following criteria:
- Are physically located in the City of Beverly at an address separate from the owner’s residence.
- In-home childcare centers are exempt from having a separate address
- Have fewer than 50 full time equivalent employees
- Are independently owned and operated
- Were established before January 1, 2020 and are still operational
- Must be in the family childcare, hospitality, tourism, arts, recreation, or retail industry
- Must be current on all local taxes and licenses
- Gross receipts for the year 2020 cannot have exceeded $2 million
