The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program is administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is an important resource for projects benefiting low-to-moderate-income (LMI) households and neighborhoods. Through this program, neighborhoods have been improved by projects such as sidewalks, housing programs, and public services. Due to the federal regulations associated with this program, not all options are available in all neighborhoods.
CDBG Local Strategic Objectives
Logan City is accepting applications that meet on of the following objectives:
- Invest in neighborhood infrastructure in low and moderate-income areas.
- Invest in remediation of access & mobility barriers in all neighborhoods.
- Invest in public facility improvements that serve low and moderate-income residents.
- Invest in capacity and programmatic improvements for service providers that primarily serve low and extremely-low income residents, particularly those residents at risk of experiencing homelessness.
- Invest in neighborhood and strategic planning to help identify needs within the community.
CDBG funds must be used predominately for the benefit of low and moderate-income residents by promoting decent housing, creating a suitable living environment, and economic opportunities.
