A pollinator garden is specifically designed to attract pollinating insects as well as habitat enhancement, water quality improvement and erosion control.
The pollinator gardens are offered to residential property owners and are required to be planted within the corporate limits of the Town of Ocean City. It’s important to avoid the use of pesticides and plant flowers close to one another.
Submission Rule
- The Pollinator Garden site must be located within the corporate limits of The Town. The Garden site cannot be in the secondary dune area, ocean front or an area subject to high winds. The plants and pollinators need protection from high winds, excessive salt air and predators.
- Plant substitutions may occur due to wholesaler supply and demand.
