The Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program provides financial and technical assistance to states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized Indian tribal governments to develop and implement drug courts and veterans treatment courts.
Use of Funds
For the purpose of this grant, funds can be used to enhance or expand treatment service systems to increase access to MAT services that are accessible, effective, comprehensive, and evidence based. In accordance with federal grant requirements, sub grantees may not restrict the use of methadone and buprenorphine treatments, if prescribed by a qualified medical provider.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants are limited to current state funded Adult Drug Courts to include: Adult Felony, Mental Health, Veterans Treatment, DUI/DWI, and Family Treatment Drug Courts. Funding will be available to assist both established Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs, as well as implementation of new MAT programs. The services may include but are not limited to: medication screening and education, medical medication assessments, and medication administration.
