This grant can fund a wide variety of projects that serve Pittsburgh residents with low to moderate incomes. Awarded projects typically provide direct services to vulnerable populations.
The Public Service grant has funded projects such as food pantries, youth programs, job training, career counseling, literacy programs, senior activity programs, and more.

- Grant requests must be between $5,000 – $150,000
- The 2022 Public Service grant term is one year. Program costs incurred between July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 will be eligible for reimbursement.
Eligibility Criteria
- Have a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax status
- Demonstrate financial management capacity
- Have a SAM.gov profile with a Unique Entity ID
- Have no outstanding financial liabilities with the City of Pittsburgh, or demonstrate an approved payment plan
- Have current general liability insurance
- Have current worker’s compensation insurance, required if organization has paid staff.
