The Community First Foundation (the Foundation) is pleased to announce a grant opportunity to support the capacity needs of nonprofit organizations actively working to improve conditions of community health for Jefferson County (Jeffco) residents.

Donor Name: Community First Foundation

State: Colorado

County: Jefferson County (CO)

Type of the Grant: Grant

Deadline: 05/16/2022

Size of the Grant: $15,000

Grant Duration: 12 months

Details:

This grant opportunity aims to provide organizational support to a wide-range of Jeffco-serving nonprofits through access to capacity support and operating funds. The goal of this grant opportunity is to provide resources to Jeffco-serving nonprofits who are on the frontlines of the health and wellness of the community.

They recognize that improving your organization’s capacity is critical to impacting the performance and services you provide. Ultimately, it’s about advancing healthy communities in Jeffco. Community First Foundation partners with Catchafire, an online platform of professionals who donate their time to support and strengthen the social good sector. Catchafire connects you with talented professionals looking to give back, allowing you to access expertise in areas such as marketing, web development, operations, strategy, and more.

What They Will Fund

They want to strengthen the capacity of Jeffco-serving nonprofits who work for the health and wellness of Jeffco residents. They know that health and wellness stems from more than healthcare. It also comes from having basic needs being met, from access to culture and the arts, having transportation and a safe environment and by having access to education and social supports. They want to know how effective your organization is in providing these and other services to Jeffco and will select organizations who best demonstrate this in their applications.

Grant proposals must identify organizational capacity challenges your agency is hoping to address over the next year. These capacity topics could fall in the area of, but are not limited to include:

  • Executive Leadership Training
