Their focus is on companies having a real impact on climate change who work on solutions in energy, transportation, or industry However, they are open to any climate tech company that feels they have a market in Alaska.
Participation Requirements
- Alaska fit – Companies must demonstrate a compelling reason to deploy their technology or test their business model innovation in Alaska. They must demonstrate readiness and willingness to engage on the ground in Alaska with community partners and customers, doing the long work of relationship building and responsible deployment.
- Company executive participation An executive from your company must attend all Tech Deployment Track sessions—both in-person sessions and virtual. Ideally, this is your CEO. Additional team members are welcome to attend any and all sessions.
- For-profit They work exclusively with scalable, for-profit companies.
- English language Strong command of English (spoken, written, and read) is critical to success in this program.
- Familiarity/willingness to learn virtual collaboration technologies This program uses Zoom, Google Workspace, and Monday.com.
- Time zone Be aware of the Alaska time zone (GMT-9). You will be required to attend virtual events throughout the program and set up many customer meetings. If accepted to the program, you must commit to attending meetings held during Alaska working hours.
