Humboldt Health Foundation’s Community Health Grant Program – California

Dated: December 14, 2021

The Humboldt Health Foundation (HHF) is accepting proposals for its Community Health Grant program, which provides local nonprofits and groups with funding for work that improves residents’ and communities’ mental or physical wellbeing in Humboldt County

Donor Name: Humboldt Health Foundation

State: California

County: Humboldt County (CA)

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline (mm/dd/yyyy): 08/01/2022

Details:

Community Health Grants support programs and projects that:

  • Enhance the physical and mental well-being of Humboldt County residents and communities
  • Improve the health of those with social or economic disadvantages, the underserved, and/or marginalized, with priority going to organizations supporting the health and wellbeing of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color
  • Have potential to make significant community impact
  • Are preventive
  • Bring people together to work on issues of community concern

The program supports a broad spectrum of wellness efforts, from culture and family support to food and housing security, mental health, and more.

HHF makes grants for general operating support, programs, services, advocacy, organizing, civic engagement, capital campaigns, capital improvement projects, and racial equity training and consulting. They recognize that Black, Indigenous, and People of Color are disproportionately affected by the pandemic and that racism is a critical public health issue impacting our region.
