Established in 2017, the Travis Credit Union Foundation is committed to building financially empowered communities. As the philanthropic arm of the Travis Credit Union, they amplify its impact on financial wellness.

​The Travis Credit Union generously funds the administrative costs of the Travis Credit Union Foundation, allowing us to give 100% of your donation back to your community.

TCU Foundation provides:

  • Financial education programs for youth & adults.
  • Strategic funding to community organizations.
  • Scholarships for youth and adults.
  • Financial Coaching Grants for Non-Profits.
  • Free financial resources.

The Financial Coaching Grant makes use of Inclusive Pathways, industry leading software that simplifies financial coaching and helps beneficiaries:

  • Reduce Debt
  • Increase savings
  • Establish and/or improve credit scores.

Funding Information

The TCU Foundation Financial Coaching Grant is an opportunity for Northern California non-profit organizations to access $30,000 in unrestricted funding and up to $9,000 to train their staff to become financial coaches.

  • Unrestricted funding: $30,000 / Applicant
  • Financial Coaching Training for 2 staff Members: ~$6,000
  • Access to Pathways Software: ~$3,000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Organizations benefitting people in the counties of Napa, Solano, Yolo, Contra Costa, and Merced;
  • Organizations classified as 501(c)3 public charities;
  • Organizations classified as public charities;
  • Organizations with the ability to reach diverse communities to include those that are unbanked/underserved;
  • Organizations that do not discriminate by race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status;
  • Organizations with the capacity to allocate time and resources for 2 staff members to become financial coaches (self-study) and provide 10 or more 1-hour financial coaching sessions to beneficiaries each month;
  • Organizations that are willing to promote their participation in the Financial Coaching Grant Program and acknowledge funding received from Travis Credit Union Foundation in traditional and social media.
