- Applicant organizations must serve the people of Connecticut and have a principal office in Connecticut
- Applicants will not be awarded a grant for more than three consecutive years.
Guidelines
- The Trustees normally give preference to proposals for specific programs or projects, and normally do not make grants for deficit financing, annual giving or capital projects. An applicant must demonstrate financial responsibility, indicate the qualification of its staff leadership and should indicate why the organization requesting a grant is the logical one to carry out the project

- Financial Statements
- If your organization has more than $1,000,000 in annual gross revenue in any of your last two fiscal years, the organization must submit the most recent audited financial report prepared by a CPA
- If your organization has less than $1,000,000 in annual gross revenue in any of your last two fiscal years, and you have had an audited financial report prepared by a CPA you must submit that report. In the event you have not had an audited financial report prepared by a CPA during your last two fiscal years, you must submit your most recent Form 990 filed with the IRS
- Letters of support for schools
- If you will be (1) providing a program or services in a school, or (2) working with a school to arrange for students to visit an off-site location where a program or services will be provided during regular school hours you must submit a letter of support from the Superintendent of Schools or the Principal of the school
- The failure to satisfy these requirements will result in the denial of your organization’s grant application.
