This program provides eligible commercial property owners with a matching grant of up to $50,000 for transformational exterior renovations.
Eligibility Criteria
- All exterior improvements must be visible from the street and must enhance the curb appeal of the property.
- Only property owners are eligible to apply.
- Applicants who are recommended for funding will be notified by mid April. All projects must be completed by August 1, 2026.
- Please include as detailed information as possible to increase the likelihood the project is selected for funding.
- Property owners will enter into a grant agreement with One South Euclid. One South Euclid will pay the contractor the amount of the grant award upon satisfactory completion of the project.
- The project must obtain all City approvals prior to work commencing.
- Satisfactory project completion also includes any necessary building inspections and sign off from the Building Department prior to any grant funds being paid out.
- City staff will guide the property owner through the approval process once the project has been selected for funding. Please note, the approval process for the project must be initiated with the City within four (4) months of signing the grant agreement.
- This is a matching grant program. The property owner must invest at least the same amount as the funding being requested, up to $50,000 (ex: for a $100,000 project, the property owner must pay $50,000 and the City/OSE would fund the remaining $50,000). In the case of a large transformational project, the One South Euclid Grant Review Committee reserves the right to award an amount higher than $50,000 to that project.
