Restaurants Care Resilience Fund – LA Fire Recovery Grant (California)

Dated: April 21, 2025

The Restaurants Care Resilience Fund – LA Fire Recovery Grant is providing $10,000 grants to over 240 independent restaurants and food trucks in LA County impacted by the fires.

Donor Name: Restaurants Care

State: California

County: Los Angeles County (CA)

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 04/26/2025

Size of the Grant: $1000 to $10,000

Grant Duration: Grant Duration Not Mentioned

Details:

These funds, made possible by generous donations from American Express, Resy, Postmates, and FireAid, can be used for a restaurant’s greatest need in its recovery.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Independent restaurants or food trucks located in Los Angeles County, CA and owned by a CA resident.
  • Must be an independently owned, for-profit business including sole proprietorships, LLC’s or Corporations that are not publicly traded (not part of a large chain or franchise); nonprofits are not eligible to apply.
  • Businesses with 1-5 locations.
  • Apply for only one location per business owner. Each business owner is eligible for only one grant, even if they own multiple businesses or locations. If multiple applications are submitted under the same owner, only the first valid application will be considered; all others will be void.
  • Annual revenue up to $5 million for that location.
  • Have been open for at least one full year (open since January 1, 2024).
  • Currently open or will re-open by July 1, 2025.
  • Can demonstrate revenue decline due to the recent LA Fires – January-February 2024 revenue versus January-February 2025 revenue.
  • Businesses must serve food and beverages. Example, a coffee shop that only serves coffee would not qualify. But a coffee shop that serves scones and muffins would.
  • Restaurants must be open to the public, have regular operating hours, and serve both food and beverages.
  • If you received a grant from the Resilience Fund in the past, you are eligible to apply again for this LA Fire specific grant.
  • Note: members of the state boards of the California Restaurant Association and California Restaurant Foundation are not eligible.
