The goal of the UVACCC Comprehensive Community Grants is to leverage the strengths of Virginia communities to address the cancer burden to help community members reach optimal health.
An essential part of being a comprehensive cancer center is outreach, education, and community collaboration. Community input, feedback, and innovative ideas are essential to address, prevent cancer, and enhance survivorship.
Funding Information
Up to four grants of $10,000 each.
Grant Period
12-months.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Serve residents who live in the UVACCC catchment area
- Be a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and municipality
- Propose a new initiative or include a clearly defined new component to existing work. Funding will not be provided for routine or ongoing activities.
