The Grant County Community Foundation is offering grants to support projects that enhance the quality of life for residents of Grant County, North Dakota. These grants are available to local nonprofits and government agencies serving the region.
The foundation operates as a component of the North Dakota Community Foundation, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3). This structure allows the Grant County fund to benefit from over 40 years of charitable service expertise, including financial management, donor planning, and administrative support.
This year, $64,500 in funding is available, with individual grant amounts ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Grants aim to support a wide variety of projects that benefit the community, with an emphasis on equitable distribution across Grant County.
The foundation is also building a Qualified Endowment Fund to ensure sustainable, long-term support for local projects. This endowment will generate annual grant dollars to benefit the community in perpetuity.
Priority is given to impactful, community-wide initiatives. Projects already heavily supported by government funding or national organizations, or those focused on operating costs, are given lower priority. Religious organizations may apply only for non-sectarian efforts that serve the entire community, such as food pantries.
Eligible applicants must be IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or government agencies. The application deadline is October 13, 2025.
