The ATCCF supports local charities that can clearly demonstrate a need and their ability to use funds efficiently. An Independent Advisory Committee will determine which local charities receive grants from the General Fund based on a timely submitted and complete application, and the availability of funds. Renewed funding depends upon re-application and re-evaluation.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for grants, the applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Current 501(c)(3) designation as a tax-exempt organization (not a private foundation)
- Provide a copy of the charity’s 501(c)(3) letter of approval from the IRS
- Supply the charity’s nine-digit Federal Identification Number
- Be headquartered in Saratoga, Warren, or Washington counties or serve residents in these counties
- Demonstrate an interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Civil Rights
- Community Services
- Conservation/Environment
- Cultural/Historical/Arts
- Education
- Health Services
- Human Service/Housing/Meal
- Humane (animal welfare)
- Schools/Colleges
- Sports/Recreation/Social
- Technology
- Youth
- Provide a brief description of the organization’s mission
- Be willing to publicize grant and recognize ATCCF
While the ATCCF looks forward to making grants to assist local charities, they refrain from making grants to the following:
- Programs that operate for the benefit of political, governmental, or religious activities
- Promotion of fundraising events
- Capital campaigns
- Marketing/Advertisements
- Research
- Scholarship or fellowship programs
- National organizations
