AIDSWatch@Home programs are state-based policy trainings and community advocacy institutes grounded in the knowledge that state and local advocacy is a remarkably powerful and underutilized tool.
Donor Name: AIDS United
State: All States
County: All Counties
Type of Grant: Grant
Deadline: 10/06/2025
Size of the Grant: $10,000 to $100,000
Grant Duration: 1 Year
Details:
The need for state-level advocacy has only become more urgent in recent years as state legislatures and others have promoted policies to restrict LGBTQ+ rights and threaten progress in reaching an end to the HIV epidemic. Simultaneously, federal programs and funding streams are being reduced or eliminated, including programs focused on eliminating disparities, and gaining access to healthcare will become more challenging. These policy attacks take many forms, and the advocacy will require us to work across issue areas and unite coalitions to protect the communities.
Funding Information
AIDS United seeks to identify organizations or coalitions in eight different states to receive a grant of up to $15,000 each to implement a branded AIDSWatch@Home event to potentially coincide with their state’s legislative session.
Grant Period
Grants will be 12-months in length (December 1, 2025 – November 30, 2026) and will support implementation of an AIDSWatch@Home branded event to be conducted by November 2026, as well as engagement in technical assistance provided by the AIDS United team leading up to the event.
