This OCG funding opportunity supports local law enforcement agencies and local units of government and their efforts to implement effective and sustainable solutions that intercept and eliminate local cycles of violence throughout the Commonwealth. This initiative is not intended to fund continuation of programs already funded by an Operation Ceasefire grant or a Firearm Violence Intervention and Prevention (FVIP) grant.
Funding Information
DCJS anticipates awarding a total of $10,000,000 through this competitive solicitation. The maximum amount per award is $500,000. Requests in the equipment budget category may not exceed $100,000 per award.
Grant Period
January 1, 2026–December 31, 2028.
Allowable Costs
Requested funds must be utilized to prevent and reduce gun violence. Allowable projects and purchases include, but are not limited to:
- Hiring additional personnel,
- Contracted services,
- Overtime,
- Supplies,
- Training, and
- Reasonable travel expenses.
