The goal of the Climate Leader Award is to celebrate the region’s Climate Leaders in the broadest and most inclusive form–therefore, they invite applications that elevate individuals, teams, and whole organizations–across all sectors in the San Diego region.
Nominees for the Climate Leader Award should exemplify and carry out in practice the key values of the organization –collaboration, leadership, flexibility, diversity and inclusion, and tangible impact–through their contributions to regional climate action. The values for the Climate Leader Award are defined as:
- Collaboration: Cultivating cross-functional relationships and fostering peer learning.
- Leadership: Empowering innovative and catalytic climate leaders to drive broader social and environmental change.
- Flexibility: The ability to adapt and respond effectively to regional needs.
