Pride Gives Back works in a cohort model, bringing grantees together throughout the year for professional learning sessions. Cohort meetings are designed to meet grantee needs, providing tips to improve marketing, strategic planning, community outreach, development, operations, and more. 2026 cohort meetings are currently slated for April, September, and December. Other benefits include:
- Financial support in the form of a grant;
- One complimentary Pride Partnership to help raise awareness of recipients’ events
- Inclusion in NYC Pride’s promotion of the program and grantees throughout the year, including social media, e-mail marketing, earned media, and web content.
In 2026, NYC Pride is looking for applicants specifically focused on supporting:
- Trans and gender non-binary/non-conforming individuals;
- Marginalized LGBTQIA+ groups including Latinx, BIPOC, food- and housing-insecure, and immigrant populations;
- Youth populations;
- Elder populations;
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a NYC Pride-directed Pride Gives Back grant in 2025-26, your organization must:
- Be able to provide proof of non-profit status under the Internal Revenue Service code
- Create a program or event in 2026, even if the event takes place in 2027 – Benefit the local LGBTQIA+ community
- Have an annual operating budget under $500,000
- Demonstrate sound and responsible financial policies and management
- Demonstrate the requested funds will support a program or event in the community
- Be located in the New York City Metropolitan area, which is defined as a 45 mile radius from New York City.
If you are a community organization without a 501(c)3 they ask that you provide the following:
- Two (2) years of financial records and proof of fiscal sponsorship
- Documents and/or records of previously produced events, programs or initiatives including, but not limited to flyers, videos, social media assets, press/media coverage.
