The City anticipates receiving approximately $523,508 annually in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, contingent on funds made available by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds will be used to address the City’s priority housing and community development needs. All eligible activities that align with program objectives will be considered for funding.
National Objectives
All CDBG-funded projects must meet at least one of the following national objectives:
- Benefit to Low- or Moderate-Income (LMI) Persons
- Limited Clientele Activities
- Area Benefit Activities
- Slum/Blight Elimination
- Urgent Community Need
Eligible Populations
- CDBG primarily serves LMI individuals and households.
- General Eligibility: ≥51% of participants must be ≤80% AMI.
- Community-Wide Activities: Must demonstrate that surrounding beneficiaries are income-eligible.
- Limited Clientele Activities: Collect income data from all participants.
- Special Populations: Persons experiencing homelessness, abused/neglected children, and individuals with disabilities are presumed LMI-eligible.
