The City of Charleston is preparing to receive requests and select projects for YOUR neighborhood! The Love Your Block program’s purpose is neighborhood beautification and to mobilize both community and neighborhood resources to accomplish a wide array of projects.
Funding Information
Applicants in the Ardmore-Sherwood Forest Neighborhood applied for grants ranging from $100-5000 for projects in the community.
Grant Period
Projects will begin in May of 2026 and must conclude September 15, 2026.
Types of Projects
They are focused on projects that benefit the neighborhood. Is there a street or a public space that could benefit from tree planting? Do you think the addition of lighting would increase public safety? Would you like to see a community mural or art installation or perhaps host a workshop for your neighbors? Do you think additional signage would be of benefit? Other neighborhoods throughout the country have done these types of projects and more!
