Beautification grants are funded by the Tompkins County Tourism Program, and can be used for landscaping, tree planting, benches, banners, or possibly other projects.
Projects eligible for rural grant funds must be approved by the Community Beautification Program. Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the Beautification Coordinator prior to beginning your project. The project should be in an area that is highly visible to the public and on public land: along a main road or near a public building such as a town hall, post office, or school. Funding may not be used for staffing, wages, or salaries.
