The Halifax County Board of Commissioners has allocated $30,000 to be awarded in grant funds for recreation programs throughout the County. Halifax County endeavors to fund multiple programs across the county.

Funding requests should not exceed $5,000.
Requirements
- Eligible grant recipients must be located within Halifax County.
- Eligible grant recipients must be non-profit organizations in good standing with the NC Secretary of State or faith-based organizations.
- Organizations will be required to sign a grant agreement with Halifax County before grant funds are distributed. Salaries and/or stipends will not be funded through this program for any member of the applying organization. Contracted services for specific instruction may be allowed as related
- Organizations who receive funding will be required to submit periodic project reports as requested by the County, as well as a final report by December 31, 2026.
- Organizations who receive funding are subject to review during the County’s annual audit.
