The Safe Haven Legacy Fund was established in 2020 to provide grant awards to eligible nonprofit organizations in Pike County to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in finding and relocating to permanent (as opposed to emergency) safe housing.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable status under the Internal Revenue Code.
- Organizations may be fiscally sponsored by another nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable status under the Internal Revenue Code. If fiscally sponsored by another nonprofit organization, applications must include a letter from the organization confirming its fiscal sponsorship.
- Organizations must demonstrate active board leadership and comprehensive resource development plans that include income-generating activities, resource sharing, support from individuals, and an efficient and effective administration of funds and programs.
- Greater Pike Community Foundation does not grant to
- Individuals
- Religious programs of churches or other sectarian organizations
- Political parties, campaigns, or candidates.
- Previous grant recipients must have all final reporting in place before applying for new grant funding.
