This pilot program is rooted in community network-building and asset-based community development. It was co-designed by Moreland residents and community partners to strengthen connections, support neighbor-led ideas, and encourage collaboration across the neighborhood.
Grant Categories
- Active and Outdoor Living: Projects that encourage neighbors to play, move and connect through shared outdoor experiences or nature-based events, beyond City-provided programs
- Arts and Culture: Projects that use creative expression to celebrate identity, share stories, and strengthen relationships
- Civic Engagement: Projects that raise awareness, educate, or encourage community-led efforts around civic participation or civic life
- Neighboring: Projects that bring Moreland residents together, especially across lines of difference, to build stronger, more connected, and caring relationships and a greater sense of belonging
- Personal & Community Well-Being: Projects that support health and wellness, such as improving acces to healthy food or connecting neighbors to community resources and support
- Senior & Intergenerational Connection: Projects led by or focused on engaging residents 55 and older, or that intentionally build relationships across generations in the neighborhood.
