The mission of Ribbons of Hope – Invest in Women, Inc. is to make a positive impact on the lives of women and their children. Each year award a $100,000 grant to a non-profit organization that promotes education, health, economic independence, social well-being or human rights for women and their children.
Eligibility Criteria
- The agency is a Georgia-specific agency or organization and has a 501 (c)(3) status,
- The program/project for which the agency or organization seeks funding will improve the lives of women and/or children in one or more of the following areas.
- The agency or organization will have at least three years of financial records and an annual operating budget of at least $500,000 for a minimum of the prior last three years. (In-kind donations can be included).
- The agency or organization will not have been awarded a Ribbons of Hope grant within the last five years.
- The grant will be used for special projects or capital improvements that the organization can sustain after the grant allocation.
- They do not provide funding for ongoing operating expenses, however a small limited portion of the grant application request may include administrative expenses directly related to the new program/project.
- They do not provide funding for special events, comprehensive capital campaigns or micro-enterprise loans.
- Preference will be given to programs and projects that can be fully funded by the $100,000 grant and are not reliant on other sources of funding to be successful.
- It is against the policy of Ribbons of Hope to contribute directly to private, tuition-based educational institutions, political entities, or religious institutions; however, programs affiliated with such organizations can be considered.
