The St. Johns County Health and Human Services Independent Agency Funding Program provides funding to nonprofit agencies carrying out social services activities that assist SJC residents to lead healthy, stable lives, and to achieve the maximum level of self-sufficiency possible. The following funding objectives have been identified as high priorities for vulnerable residents in the community: Affordable Housing and Homelessness, Community Healthcare, and Employment Opportunities. To address these issues, HHS and the HHS Advisory Council are seeking to fund eligible projects that are accessible, responsive, meet or exceed best practice standards, and are results oriented. The funds will be awarded on a competitive basis to eligible projects meeting at least one of the identified funding objectives.
Health and Human Services and the HHSAC have identified the following three funding objectives as high priorities and service gaps that must be addressed in our community:
- Affordable Housing and Homelessness
- Community Healthcare and Agin
- Employment Opportunities
Funding Information
Approximately $1,500,000.00 is anticipated to be awarded under this funding application process.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be public organizations, non-profit organizations, or one with an IRS 501(c)3 designation.
- Organizations must be located in St. Johns County and/or provide services that benefit St. Johns County residents.
- Proposed projects/applications must meet one of the identified funding objectives as stated in the application.
