The Sample Foundation is a private family foundation with a mission to provide grants to non-profit organizations in the areas of health, social welfare and services for underserved populations in Montana.
In most instances, grants are for capital outlays. The Foundation does not fund scholarships, operating budgets, duplication of services, organizations that attempt to influence legislation or intervene in any political campaign, or religious groups.
Criteria
Applications are processed through Foundant, using the link to the right. Applicationa should include the amount requested, how grant dollars will meet the criteria, a balance sheet, a list of board members, and evidence of tax-exempt status (federal regulations require that they give to organizations described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code). An accompanying letter must be signed by the chief executive officer and/or president of the board.
