The focus has been to support programming from arts organizations, libraries, historical associations, environmental and health programs (including food banks). The Foundation generally does not support Capital campaigns, salary or overhead costs, or building restorations.
Additionally here are a few things to remember:
- Focus is on groups within the Adirondack Park that serve year-round residents of the Adirondack Park, though they do consider (and fund) groups based outside the park boundary whose primary impact of the grant will be within the Adirondack Park
- In general they do not fund capital campaign grants
- In general they do not fund grants that are solely for staff salary
- Receiving funding one year does in no way guarantee any future funding.
Funding Information
Grants, which typically fall in the range of $500 to $5,000, are made to accredited not-for-profit organizations within the Adirondack Park who serve the needs of the year round residents of the Park.
