Key Funding Priorities 

The key funding priorities are focused on three (3) areas. Grantees will be selected based on one or more of the following priorities – the number of funding priorities met does not influence selected organizations.

  • Education: According to the Arizona Board of Regents, educational attainment is one of Arizona’s greatest social and economic challenges. Arizona Coyotes and the Arizona Coyotes Foundation are committed to helping Arizona close the education gap for underserved communities by supporting nonprofit organizations and programs that prioritize educational attainment for students of color, veterans and non-traditional students and other underrepresented groups.
  • Health and Wellness: Guided by the notion that healthy people = healthy communities, Arizona Coyotes and the Arizona Coyotes Foundation are committed to supporting organizations and programs that promote access to resources that improve health outcomes for underserved and underinsured populations
  • Economic Advancement: Arizona Coyotes and the Arizona Coyotes Foundation believe that personal economic security carries important benefits for the health and well-being of individuals and entire communities. They are committed to supporting organizations and programs that promote access to financial resources and facilitate economic participation for people of color, underrepresented and underemployed groups to be valuable contributors to a vibrant Arizona economy.

Funding Information

  • The minimum grant award from the Arizona Coyotes Foundation is $10,000.
  • The maximum grant amount from the Arizona Coyotes Foundation is $30,000.
  • Grant Period
    • Grant Period begins January 1, 2023
    • Grant period ends & reports due January 31, 2024

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be classified as a public charity and exempt from federal taxes under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Applicants must be an established 501(c)(3) for at least three years.
  • Grant request must directly address one or more Key Funding Priorities.
  • Organizations may submit only one grant application per grant cycle.
  • Previously funded organizations may request funding for previously funded projects for no more than two years, consecutive or otherwise.
  • Applicants must be prepared to organize an on-site visit at the location(s) where grant-supported services will be provided, if requested by the Arizona Coyotes Foundation.
  • Grant recipients must agree to announce funding by the Arizona Coyotes Foundation on their social media channels.
  • Grant recipients must agree to assist the Arizona Coyotes Foundation in its efforts to thank Arizona Coyotes Foundation donors by fulfilling special requests deemed reasonable by the grant recipient.
  • Grant recipients must submit a year-end report using a reporting template provided by the Arizona Community Foundation.
  • Progress updates and data may be requested by the Arizona Coyotes Foundation prior to the year-end report.
