The CDBG program allocates funds each year for these types of projects based on the annual award the city receives from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development agency. The funds are limited, applications must meet the income level, and not all repairs are eligible. An attachment is provided with the application to show the weatherization (maintenance) and rehabilitation activities available.

How do I qualify?
- Step One: Submit an application to the city for weatherization or rehabilitation work to be performed on your home. You must provide proof of ownership and occupancy and be within the income limits list above. Your property taxes must be current and not in foreclosure. You will need to provide proof of homeowner’s insurance and your home must be structurally sound and able to pass a basic inspection for habitability and safety.
- Rental Dwellings: Weatherization and/or rehabilitation of a rental dwelling must be approved in writing by your landlord and property manager, if applicable, before any work can be performed. Your landlord’s income status will also be reviewed for eligibility. The rental dwelling must be structurally sound and able to pass a basic inspection for habitability and safety.
NOTE: Owner occupied homes will take priority over rental homes.
