Local Priorities
Applications are considered with the following priorities in mind:
- Projects that are innovative, collaborative, and creative.
Projects that address a community need or reach an underserved population.
Community-based programs and events.
Other considerations:
- Grant awards typically range between $100 and $500. Larger grants are awarded by discretion of the Council.
- Plainville-based applicants are given preference.
- Each applicant must have the venue approved before submission and supply that information on the application form.
- There will be a limit of three consecutive years for the same project to be submitted for PLCC funding by an applicant. However, the Council will carefully scrutinize repeat requests. Such proposals should include sources of support to show the project is not dependent solely on Council funding.

- have a date
- cite the approximate number of Plainville residents that will benefit from the program
- Plainville Cultural Council encourages local residents to apply for grants.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must reside or be located in Massachusetts. Local Cultural Councils may accept applications from anyone included in the following list:
- Individuals
- Incorporated private nonprofit organizations.
- Unincorporated associations that can establish a nonprofit objective.
- Public schools, libraries, other municipal agencies, and the Local Cultural Council itself.
- Religious organizations.
