Eight women-owned businesses each will be receiving a $10,000 grant to take their businesses to the next level.
The BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program will assess applicants based on their high-level business growth plans. Any type of business growth will be considered whether expanding into a new market or creating a new product/service.
What is included in the Grant Package? Each of the eight (8) grant recipients will receive:
- $10,000 USD (payable to the Eligible Small Business);
- One (1) BMO Celebrating Women Personalized Crystal Vase;
- Be featured on bmo.com/women and select BMO social media channels (as determined by BMO in its sole and absolute discretion). • One (1) hour of coaching with a Women in Business advocate (currently available to select clients of BMO only);
- Invitation to a BMO webinar series (which will be attended by the Recipients and other individuals as invited by BMO);
- If the Eligible Small Business qualifies, the opportunity to have BMO facilitate membership in certain organizations and/or advisory boards;
- The opportunity to use a 2022 BMO Celebrating Women Grant Recipient badge that can be posted on social media (subject to the Eligible Small Business agreeing to the licensing terms provided by BMO). The total ARV of each Grant Package is $10,160. The total ARV of all Grant Packages to be awarded is $81,280.
Eligibility Criteria
Criteria for applicants:
- You’re the owner of a business
- You’re a resident of the U.S.
- You’ve reached the legal age of majority in the state where your business resides
Criteria for businesses:
- Must be at least 51% owned or controlled by women or by individuals who self-identify as women
- Currently active and operating in the U.S.
- Has a physical location (or a mailing address for their headquarters) in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri or Wisconsin
- Must be a for-profit business with annual revenues of $5 million USD or less
- In good standing in the state in which the business is registered
- In operation selling a product or service for at least 2 years as of January 1, 2022
